Friends for Life's big annual fundraiser will be held Saturday, July 23 from 7-9 at the First Street Gallery in Eureka. This event will be lots of fun with delicious food provided by the good folks at Six Rivers Brewery, who are also donating some of their fabulous beer, a live murder mystery and a silent auction of fabulous items for your consideration. The event benefits Friends for Life's programs which help animals in our community and the people who love them. As we are an all-volunteer organization, every penny raised will go to the animals and allow us to keep doing our life saving work. Tickets are $25 per person and can be reserved by calling 442-5999. Sequoia Humane Society hosts a volunteer orientation meeting on the first Saturday of each month. The training sessions begin at 1:00 pm at the Shelter.
