Lila Nelson loves the craft of songwriting. (But don't ask "What comes first? The lyrics or the chords?" or "Who's your favorite artist?" - LOVE is not discerning.)
Lila's early hits "Wannabe Banjo Player" and "Road Kill" still ring in the walls of the old farmhouse where she grew up. What began as legitimate child's play...continues to be so. Her triad-of-performing-arts-evil is now complete with her recently earned theater and dance degree from Humboldt State University, making her an ever greater threat to her own bank account. When she's not touring nationally she finds her home in Arcata, Ca. with her husband Ian and her St. Vinny's piano.
You can hear Lila on KHUM Sundays from 9 am until 2 pm. And don't forget to joing Lila for "Meet Me in the Morning," Sunday mornings from 9 am -11 am, during which Lila shares some of her favorite songwriters and acoustic artists.
