Georgia Ruth grew up performing in the Arcata Gospel Choir form the age 5. She is an original singer song writer with a powerful roots inspired voice that blends Folk, Americana, Blues and Jazz in a combination that seems natural and inspired. Georgia is currently being backed by the multi-talented, genre-bending Absynth Quartet . The collaboration brings body and depth to Georgia's original song writing and evocative voice. The group is performing in support of their new album "Blank Page" available on iTunes, CD Baby, Spotify.
The Handshakers are led by two, Georgia-born songwriters/guitarists, Mike Bynum and Michael Walker. The native Southerners met in Arcata CA and formed the Handshakers. Backed by Aleister Paige, on pedal steel, Gary Davidson on bass and Paul DeMark on drums the group is steeped in tradition yet forging their own sound by playing original songs from the gut and from the heart.
