The Comix Trip: ~~ Local comic book artist Violet Crabtree's live performance art project. Violet dramatically tells her stories, with the use of an overhead projector and her patented "false animation" technique, which she uses to project her drawings. A live group of musicians back her up with sound effects and songs. Chenille Stems & the Dream Machine: ~~Screening of genderqueer creator Llano River Blue’s sci-fi web series. Set in an alternate reality where diverse identities are more accepted, Chenille Stems (Llano) studies her dreams and wonders about the disappearance of her sister Tinsel (Star Blue), combining live action and stop motion animation and retro sound design by Sean Malroy. The Sweet Trade: ~~Comprised of frontperson Llano River Blue on vocals and ukulele, and producer Sean Malroy on violin and everything else, The Sweet Trade have been carving out a niche for themselves performing throughout the San Francisco Bay Area's queer and alternative scenes since 2009.
