Take a Child Outside Day

Meet lizards and snakes! Zoom in on pond water! Take a silent walk to a bird roost! Come out to the Arcata Marsh for the 6th Annual Take A Child Outside Day: a festival of fun outdoor exploration for kids and their caregivers. From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 24 local environmental educators will offer activities along a half mile loop, beginning at the Interpretive Center. Kids will fill their “eco-passports” and Teachers are invited to come learn about field trips, in-class presentations and other environmental education opportunities for their students. This free event is sponsored by the North Coast CREEC Network, Friends of the Arcata Marsh, and the Humboldt State Natural History Museum. See you there!
