Spare Change Final Community Show
Come enjoy the final performance of this year’s Spare Change skits. The show is a compilation of original educational skits on topics related to teen sexual and mental health, approved for the public in a 3-step review process. The skits are written and performed by this year’s Spare Change teen members, with a few favorite skits from years past. Spare Change is a volunteer program where Humboldt county high school aged youth educate their peers on the realities and responsibilities of sex through a variety of approaches: by writing and performing original skits and offering educational performances of these skits to local schools; through teaching in classrooms; and through providing one-on-one information and resources to their peers. Spare Change stands for “Spare the time to Change your mind." Spare Change has been providing medically-accurate, inclusive health education for over 20 years in Humboldt County. Spare Change is a program of Planned Parenthood Northern California.
