Post-Capitalism Conference: Building the Solidarity Economy

Cooperation Humboldt and the US Solidarity Economy Network present Post-Capitalism: Building a Solidarity Economy at HSU, sponsored by the Sociology Department. A solidarity economy is defined as efforts to create an economy based on cooperation rather than exploitation, and that prioritizes the welfare of people and planet over profits. Friday night's panel will feature Kali Akuno (Cooperation Jackson), Emily Kawano (US Solidarity Economy Network), and Jerome Scott (US Social Forum). Saturday will feature concurrent workshops covering a variety of topics. $20-50 sliding scale, lunch included, students free, no one turned away for lack of funds. Free childcare provided.
