Pints 4 Nonprofits
On Monday March 9th Gyppo Ale Mill will be partnering with the Mattole Restoration Council for our next Pints 4 Nonprofits. The MRC is one of the oldest community-led watershed restoration organizations in North America. Their work ranges from environmental education to fire resilience but their primary mission is to “understand, restore and conserve the ecosystems of the Mattole River watershed, with attention to threatened coho and Chinook salmon and steelhead”. Some impressing tidbits of the important work MRC has done: helping 13 low income residents create defensible space around their homes to reduce the chances of catastrophic wildfires, planting 30000 native plants in the Mattole Watershed and assisting 12 high school students gain valuable conservation work experience with Nick's Intern program. For more information visit www.Mattole.org Please join Monday March 9th, each pint of beer purchased between the event hours, 3-6PM the Gyppo Ale Mill will donate $2 to the Mattole Restoration Council. And in the spirit of fun and teamwork, we have added to our Pints 4 Nonprofits program a Raise The Ribbon challenge. Before the event starts, Mattole Restoration Council will choose an amount they would like to aim for from private guest donations. Each time a donation is received a bell is run and the ribbon raises inch by inch to the goal! This is a great way to donate $5, $10, $20 to this great community organization!
