Pato Banton
All ages are invited to a Community Concert featuring the reggae music of Pato Banton & The Now Generation, Monday, July 19th from place 7-10pm. Admission is free and donations are encouraged. Food is available for purchase from the Mateel kitchen, and beer & wine will be served to those 21 and over. More information is available at mateel.org.
Grammy nominated reggae legend Pato Banton last performed at Reggae on the River in 2012. He has recorded and toured the world with numerous artists including The English Beat, Steel Pulse, UB40 & Sting. His powerful live shows take the form of a rocking reggae party with crowd involvement in the form of participatory singing and dancing to family-friendly, positive lyrics.

Pato Banton has recorded numerous albums and collaborated with artists all over the world. His most recent albums Love Is The Greatest & The Words Of Rastafari were released through Bob Marley’s Tuff Gong International distribution company.
Pato Banton’s four-decade public presence has increasingly transcended music to convey a positive & uplifting message of global peace and love for humanity. Now based in Southern California, he continues to record and tour the world extensively with his band The Now Generation.
