Let's Talk about the Middle East- 74: The Reconstitution of a Struggle

As part of the Let's Talk About the Middle East film and discussion series, HSU History professor Dr. Leena Dallasheh hosts a screening of 74: The Reconstitution of a Struggle (Lebanon, 2012) In 2011, amidst the ‘Arab Spring’, directors Rania and Raed Rafei returned to a different time of struggle, 1974. That year, Lebanon was in intellectual, cultural and political ferment. In March, a few students from the American University of Beirut occupied the university’s premises for 37 days to protest against rising tuition fees. The film doesn’t only reread past events, but also searches for their echo today. Free and Open to the public To join the screening, please RSVP https://forms.gle/U8xxehSYjJCV4RcB9 So you can receive Zoom link and password
