Laurie Lewis is a singer, songwriter, teacher, and producer. She was one of the first women to have kicked the door open on the bluegrass scene back in the 70’s, and has since become one of the most respected and influential figures on the West Coast roots scene. She’s twice been named Female Vocalist of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association, and her songs blend the use of hypnotically extended metaphors with the power of old ballads and stories that ring true, all in a voice that combines grit and grace.
She is currently touring with the sizzling bluegrass band, the Right Hands. This powerful group of folk, Americana, and bluegrass musicians will enchant an audience with the fiddle, banjo, and guitar.
