Jim Lahman Band
The Jimmie Lahman band is made of mostly educators or spouses of educators. The harmonica player Ron Perry, is the Principal of Arcata High School, our bassist Alex Kantner, teaches English at Arcata High, and Nan Voss our vocalist, teaches at Eureka High and is currently in Finland on a Fulbright Scholarship and will be until April 15th. Our drummer Justin Hoopes, works for the Senior Resource Center. Jim Lahman is a retired building contractor and his wife is a retired school psychologist. Jim plays guitar and sings most of the songs. When Nan is with us, we share the lead vocal duties. Justin and Ron also sing backing vocals. We play funk, blues, rock, swing, and soul. No cover.
