Humboldt Symphony

Please join the HSU Department of Music, conductor Garrick Woods, and the Humboldt Symphony for an afternoon of fun and exciting music on Sunday, May 6 at 2:00 p.m. in Fulkerson Recital Hall. A handful of HSU student instrumentalists will be featured on the program, which includes movements from two Schumann concertos, one with cellist and graduating senior Kira Weiss playing on the Cello Concerto in A Minor, Op. 129 and the other featuring pianist Xiaowen Xu on the Piano Concerto in A Minor, Op. 54. And don't miss Humboldt Symphony violist Joshua Gooding shred the mandolin in a work by Prokofiev. Also on the program is Haydn's Symphony no. 100, one of the "London" symphonies, and a Spanish overture by Mikhail Glinka. $10 General, $5 Senior/Child, FREE for HSU students with ID.
