HSU Honors Recital

Please join the HSU Department of Music as they present eight of their most outstanding student musicians at the 2018 Honors Recital, held on Friday, February 2 at 8:00 p.m. in Fulkerson Recital Hall. Through an annual audition process, each of the participants has been selected by a panel made up of HSU music faculty members. This year's concert will include solo performances in piano, voice, woodwinds, strings, and percussion. Plus, many of the soloists will be accompanied on piano by the inimitable John Chernoff, which is always an added treat. The recital is slated to include repertoire composed by Beethoven, Mozart, Schumann, Hahn, Ibert, Milhaud, and Friedman. Expect to hear cellist Kira Weiss, Michael Deason on the vibraphone, soprano Helen Kimber and baritone Ryan Coder, Richard Rios on the alto saxophone, Ahtziri Ramirez on the flute, and pianists Xiaowen Xu and Chuang Li. $10 General, $5 Senior/Child, FREE for HSU students with ID.
