From Isotopes to Arboreal Giants: Perspectives on Trees, Water, and Climate

This public talk will feature first-hand accounts of the fascinating dynamics between trees, water, and climate. How does water move through giant trees? How did forests respond to the record-breaking drought of 2012-2016? What’s going on with fog and redwoods? Dr. Lucy Kerhoulas, an expert is ecophysiology, will explore these questions with a spotlight on her favorite ecosystems: the coastal and montane forests of Northern California.

The Climate and Clean Energy Series is hosted by the Schatz Energy Research Center and is free and open to the public.
