Family Worship Center (PDX) w/ Control Voltage (aka CV)

"Redemptive, 1970s-style rock n’ roll that recalls the Rolling Stones, Leon Russell, The Band, and Delaney & Bonnie." -It's Psychedelic, Baby

Are they a band? Are they a cult? "It’s like a party is going on that the audience is somewhat confused about, but they still want to be a part of it," says FAMILY WORSHIP CENTER's shamanistic figurehead Andy Krissberg. Inspired by a mysterious 1970s "Groove enlightenment" pamphlet found in a defunct Nashville record store, the band has since relocated to Portland. In 2020, they released an EP recorded by Grammy-winning producer Eddie Spear, and featuring musicians associated with The Band, Deer Tick, Ringo Starr, James Brown, Keith Richards, and Foxygen.

With local support from goth-rock sci-fi concept band CONTROL VOLTAGE, who might also be a cult. Bar opens at 6, show at 9. 21 & up. $10 cover at the door.
