Breakfast in Bayside is proud to feature music by the accordian/guitar duo Squeezebug. Lorna & Steve Brown have been filling an important niche in Humboldt County musical circles for more than 10 years with their mix of South American cumbias, French chanson, Quebecois reels, Swedish waltzes and lively, lilting tunes from all the musical corners of the world. Lorna’s nimble fingers flit across the keys of her accordion conjuring melodies while Steve provides masterful and appropriate accompaniments on guitar and together they produce some of the most sublime sounds ever to accompany a Breakfast in Bayside.

In addition to breakfast and music, enjoy the artwork of local Bayside artists, puruse a used book sale in the lobby or get your face painted. There will also be a bring-your-own-pumpkin carving station outside, bring a pumpkin and make a jack-o-lantern together! Children MUST be accompanied by an adult to carve pumpkins.

Tickets for the breakfast are $8 for a full portion and $5 for smaller portions for Kids 2-12 and Seniors 65-80 (under 2 and over 80 are free). Join the Bayside Breakfast Club and receive six breakfasts for the price of five. Diners who walk or ride a bicycle to the breakfast will be awarded a free serving of real maple syrup or organic blueberry syrup.

Breakfasts in Bayside are great community mixers and help to generate funds towards the ongoing maintenance of the historic BaysideCommunity Hall, a favorite venue for local non profit fund raisers, dances, workshops, and family wedding receptions. The hall is celebrating 85 years since it was founded and 75 years since we first served breakfast by hosting a variety of fun events this Fall. For information about the breakfast or to rent the Hall, call (707) 822-9998, email baysidecommunityhall@gmail.com, go to our website at baysidecommunityhall.org.
