Down to the Atom: the Poems of Christa Laririt & Rick Park.
The performance of live poetry brings out its drama and comedy, its roots and reality, and makes a great short afternoon out. As part of the Library's free series of poetry entertainments for April, Christa Laririt will read her own poetry and present the poetry and paintings of Rick Park. Christa Laririt's first job was changing sprinkler pipes in alfalfa fields and moving cattle on horseback. Time in nature became the foundation for a life in reflection. Rick Park is a local poet, musician, songwriter and painter. You've seen his poems published in North Coast Journal and Toyon Literary Magazine, or heard him at places like Humboldt Folklife Festival and Buddy Brown Blues Festival.
