Community Baby Shower
New families and mommies-to-be are invited to attend a free event—the Community Baby Shower— at the Sequoia Conference Center (901 Myrtle Avenue, Eureka) from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. this Sunday, May 21, 2017. During the event, physicians, care providers, lactation consultants, educators, and midwives will be on-hand to answer questions moms, dads, and soon-to-be parents may have about pre-natal care, the childbirth process, and caring for their little ones. A variety of free information and services will be provided, including: • Information about the St. Joseph Hospital Childbirth Center and Level II NICU • Breastfeeding advice and support from International Board Certified Lactation Consultants in both English and Spanish. • Resources on how to identify, prevent and overcome postpartum depression. • Car seat safety checks from technicians to ensure kiddos are safe and sound in the family vehicle. In addition, attendees have a chance to win many great door prizes including: jogging strollers and a convertible car seat. Each attendee will receive a free goodie bag (while supplies last) and there will be snacks for both parents and their kiddos. No RSVP is needed.
