Citizen Scientist Seabird Monitors Wanted
Volunteers are needed to help gather information about seabird populations to help them and other marine wildlife to thrive along the Trinidad Coast. Volunteer training will include information about seabird identification, natural history and scientific data collection, as well as experience in the field observing seabirds. After the training, Citizen Scientists will be asked to contribute a minimum of 3 hours per month doing seabird monitoring or community outreach. If you are interested in becoming a Trinidad Seabird Citizen Scientist, sign up for our Spring Training Session, which includes one classroom session from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, at the Trinidad Town Hall Civic Room, 409 Trinity St.; and a four-hour Trinidad field session on Saturday, March 16, from 8 a.m. to noon.
