Camo Archery Shoot

Trail shoots, also called field courses, are similar to golf courses: the archer walks the course with a group and the group shoots from a designated location at a 3D foam animal target. Distances are varied along with the terrain. They're great opportunities to get outside, do a bit of light hiking, meet new people, and shoot in a beautiful environment out in scenic Fieldbrook (might we add, the course is located on a lot adjacent to an area where Jurassic Park was filmed. Rumor has it a dinosaur still roams these woods...). These shoots are also a great practice for hunting season or tournaments, and many people shoot the trail shoots just for fun. Scorekeeping in our trail shoots is optional and most attendees don't keep score. Typically, you shoot two arrows per target. There will be 25 targets of varying size and distance on the course. Animals are made of foam and are mostly woodland animals (and a velociraptor) At the Trail Shoots, you can buy food and drink (which helps the club raise money!) enter raffles for archery equipment, gift certificates or 50/50 (winner gets half of the ticket purchase money). You can also practice at our varied-distance range set up on site which ranges from 20 to 60 yards. PLEASE NOTE there will not be any archery equipment available for rent on site. Please be sure your bow is safe to shoot before coming out to the course. Pacific Outfitters in Eureka offers free bow safety checks. No crossbows, alcohol or pets please. All minors must be accompanied by a parent. Email the club at humboldtarchers@gmail.com with any questions
