The program features performances of music gathered from a German Baroque notebook, 19th-century Spanish and 20th-century French publications, Scottish and South American folk traditions, and an early rock guitar legend. You are invited to enjoy an exciting evening filled with classical guitar, steel-string guitar, electric guitar, and mandolin.

Michael Caban, Dylan Westfall, and Mac Wilson will perform a lively Italian trio called A Basso le Guerre (Down with the War!) for mandolin and guitars. Aidan Childs and Kianna Znika will perform a familiar Minuet by Christian Petzold, a piece that J.S. Bach intended for his children to learn when he transcribed it into Anna Magdelena’s Notebook. The fiery Malagueña, a traditional Spanish guitar favorite, will feature guitarists Theo Immacolato and Sonny Nystrom. Another exciting Spanish piece, Soleares, composed by Julian Arcas, will be performed by Kyle Bailey and Olivia Horne. Theo Immacolato and Michael Caban will present a guitar transcription of the calming piano composition Gymnopodie by Erik Satie. Jennifer Trowbridge and Brian Cummings will perform some joyful South American folk tune arrangements. Francisco Walton and Brady Walton will play Jorge Cardoso’s sultry and mesmerizing Milonga. Mac Wilson and Aidan Childs will play an upbeat Scottish reel called Let the Bottle Circulate. The concert will conclude with a tastefully raucous rendition of “Hideaway” by the great Freddie King, performed by Gabe Lewis, Liam Rowan, and Ernesto Saldana.
