“Birds and Other Wildlife Down Under”
Join Redwood Region Audubon Society for a program entitled “Birds and Other Wildlife Down Under” presented by our sporadically local biologist and author, Ken Burton. He will share photos and stories from his two-month journey last year through eastern and southern Australia in search of chowchillas, logrunners, plains-wanderers, and other birds with funny names. There will be kangaroos and cockatoos, too, as well as other strange creatures and stunning scenery. Ken also will talk about Australian biogeography and conservation challenges. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the program will begin at 7:30 p.m. Bring a mug to enjoy shade-grown coffee and come fragrance-free.
