Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary Bird Walk
Join Redwood Region Audubon Society for a free guided field trip at the Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary on Saturday, September 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Bring your binoculars and meet trip leader Dan Greaney at the end of South I Street (Klopp Lake) in Arcata for easy-to-walk trails and an opportunity to view a diverse range of species. Fall is an incredible time to bird at the Arcata marsh! Trip-goers may see brown pelicans diving for fish, shorebird murmurations over the bay, the fascinating bill diversity of Pacific Coast shorebirds, and migratory terrestrial species returning for the winter.
