WEDNESDAY LOWDOWN: Anna Tivel in Arcata

Anna Tivel is having a nice moment. Humboldt folk of the going out persuasion have had ample coffee shop chances to catch the Portland-berthed singer/songwriter and former Shook Twins backup band member live here locally over the years. But the release of her latest album The Question has garnered her gushing write ups from NPR, Rolling Stone and Paste Magazine. Catch her Wednesday at The Miniplex before she no longer regularly plays rooms that intimate anymore.
