Dear Hal, The Khum website said the dj's like to recieve mail, so of course, I had to write to you.I've never heard your voice, but I can tell from the music you play that you are a very sensitive individual who feels things very deeply.I stay up late most every night just to listen to your show. Are you single?I think I'm in love with you, all those nights when it felt like it was just me and with you on the radio, silent as always but so clever.I especially like your DJ handle "Hal 2000", very futuristic, are you into computers and such? I am just learning myself.I think you should stop changing the clock in the radio station, it's mean to fool Mike and Joe, even if it is funny when they say it's two when it's six pm.If you feel the way I do, don't say anything, just play lots of Grateful Dead, and I'll know.Maybe I could come to the station and meet you?I'm sure you get lots of letters like this one, but I am the girl for you, so I hope you feel the same.
Love and Kisses,
Leigh.......ooooooooooooooooooooooxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Now that was touching...

O.K., we lied a bit when we said we were live without also telling you about HAL. While we ARE live most of the time, hey, we live in a small place and have a small but talented air staff and we need a life too. So yes, we do prerecord some of our shows such as late at night and mostly on the weekends. But rest assured that our music is 100% locally programmed by the same folks you listen to during the rest of the time. HAL is an amazing computer that can play CD’s, our prerecorded voices, and words from our sponsors with amazing accuracy. However, like its namesake in 2001 a Space Odyssey , HAL occasionally has a problem opening the pod bay doors, or in this case playing the right thing at the right time. HAL has been known to spaz out from time to time and make us sound like idiots. And sometimes we sound like fools all by ourselves. But our listeners have grown to think of this as added entertainment.
