| Cliff Berkowitz is the morning show host on KHUM as well as the station's co-founder. Cliff has been in the radio biz for 24 years. He has been an air personality and Program Director for numerous stations with a variety of different formats in cities such as, Riverside, Fresno, San Diego, San Francisco and Los Angeles. He also was a consultant to many of the top radio stations in the country in such cities as Houston, Dallas, Detroit, Atlanta, Seattle, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, New Orleans, Baltimore, and Washington DC. During this time, in 1990 Cliff founded National Stop the Violence Day celebrated every year on November 22.
As radio became too predictable and the joy was being squeezed out by corporate pressure, Cliff decided to get out of major market radio. In 1994, Cliff moved his family from Los Angeles to Humboldt County and decided to get a fresh start on life. Once here, Cliff began forming alliances with good people who would later become business partners and staff members. Working together, they made the KHUM dream a reality.
